A YUMMY taste of Greece!

The first gyro...
.
We are in Greece! We have only spent a few hours here, but we quickly fell in love with the people, food, and way of life. We are esctatic for our sailing portion of our trip! We most likely will not be able to keep you updated for the next week, seeing that we will be going from island to island, but when we get back to Athens, we will give you the full report!
.
Hope all is going well back at home! Thanks for the comments, they are a lot of fun to read! Mom- I can't wait to see the guinea pig... what a great Mother's Day present! Ev is so thoughtful!

how do the gyros compare to Yanni's? I seriously think that Yanni's is the best gyro I have ever had . . . but then again, I've never been to Greece. I actually didn't like the Italian food in Italy- I found I had much better in the U.S. But the gelato is heavenly!

You can't fool me. That's not Greece, it's B & D Burgers.

I LOVE the photos! It looks like the two of you are on a trip of a lifetime. I am looking forward to the Greek Island photos. I wish I was sailing too.

6th grade news...A boy pulled Everett's shorts down this afternoon. He was very upset and cried. The 5th grade boy did it in front of everyone. He was suspended from school for a day.
You know the kid, he used to live in our neighborhood. I tell you more in person.

3rd grade news...Matthew got to hold a sign up for his teacher's fiance. It read...Will you marry me? Matt said kids in his class cried. He was really excited to be a part of the big event.

I love you...please be careful! Wear you lifevests! MOM

Can you guys please bring me back a gyro from Greece?! Please!!!!

I'm really happy you guys didn't get shot down by Italians with machine guys while trying to protect Mike's camera gear, so NOT worth it!!!
(Wait, now this is Mike speaking - TOTALLY worth it)

I love Europe and it looks like an awesome trip! I thought of you last week because I was in Kaysville with Scott helping him at a Jr. High. Outside we could hear the planes at HAFB and so I thought of you guys. See you later!

I’m sure by now you are ready to truly be ‘the captain of your own ship’ and your destiny as well! What great choices you have made to be where you are in this world – (literally and figuratively) sounds like the best of adventures! You have so much to look forward too including Reini’s graduation. CONGRATS!!!

We look forward to more wonderful pics (glad you got your -Mike’s- camera back.)

Enjoy the rest of your awesome time – can’t wait to read more on your blog (so we’ll also know you survived ‘sailing away.’)

Love you - Diane
