Bon Journo Florence!

Standing outside of the Duomo.

As close to "David" as we could get with a camera, seeing that we could not take pictures in the Accademia of the real "David."

Jared enjoying the beautiful view after our picnic.

The stunning view from the city overlook.

Today was wonderful! We started our day early and ended it late. We saw "David" this morning; I loved watching Jared. He was overwhelmed by the masterpiece. We then visited the Duomo, baptistery, and the Orsanmichele Church. After our walk through the city, we grabbed a yummy Italian sandwich and gelato and were on our way to the Ufizzi gallery and the Palazzo Vecchio.
Tonight we went to a local grocery store and made our way to the city overlook, the Piazzale Michelangelo. What stunning views! Jared was in his element being the photographer with the "nice" lens, thanks to Mike. I enjoyed watching the locals and taking in the scenery. We watched the sunset on the steps of a monastery overlooking the city, while holding hands and falling more in love!

WOW! I can't tell you how jealous I am! The trip looks even more amazing than I imagined it would! Keep up the good work on the blog, it was a great idea.

The triathlon was fun, but they had to cancel the swim because it was so windy the lake was covered in white caps, so it became a biathlon! Everyone was pretty bummed about that because we'd all been training so hard for the swim. I had a pretty slow time because I was taking it easy, but I felt great!

Mike's beard is getting bigger by the minute, and he has to go on a mishap that might last 2 weeks! This means he'll be gone for 2 weeks and then go straight to Denali, crazy huh!

Anyway, I'm so glad you are having such an amazing time, and I can't wait to see the pictures from Greece!
